She wanted conventional but stylish and comfy clothing for her two daughters but with just a few shops in town, there were limited choices. Out of desperation and a desire to provide her own children with clothing that suited their ages, Bush Babies was created. The name was inspired by one of her children whose first word was “bush” having a dad whose always away working in the bush. The physical storefront was open to the public on the 15th of January 2007. It started with a few baby clothes, maternity wear and girl’s dresses that were “stylishly conventional”. She believes that children should be dressed up in a way that will reflect and respect their innocence, fun, spirit and naivety rather than forcing them to look like little adults. After a few months and a lot of positive feedbacks from customers, Bush Babies has grown dramatically with the addition of other known brands such as Bright Bots, Ka boosh, Humpreys Corner, MJ Maxx, Rock Your Baby (aside from fun, we likewise believe that kids have something to say!). This signifies Bush Babies’ motivation to continue its commitment in providing high quality and comfy clothing for babies and children.
